Review of Avatar

I was on vacation today. I had heard a lot about the movie Avatar, James Cameron's latest film. So I thought I would see it today.
WARNING!: The following blog contains vital details of a movie. If you haven't seen this movie yet, don't read this post, unless you can take it. Viewer digression is advised.

So I entered the movie theater early, I mean the only one in there early. I waited until the previews started. Probably the most interesting preview I saw was the Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. So the movie starts.

It is about this marine named Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) who lost his legs (not literally) and wakes up after 6 years in the year 2154. He finds out his brother died who was in charge of the "Avatar" program in the planet Pandora. He takes his place as a scientist, but has no experience. The whole reason why the humans are there is because of this type of rock which is worth $20 billion. A ton of it is under this big tree, but this is where the natives, the Na'vi, are living and will protect their territory. That is why the Avatars of the scientists will try to convince the Na'vi to move. If they fail, the military will attack. So Jake enters the body of his Avatar.

He is blue (DUH!), he is tall, has a tail and can walk for a change. He, a scientist named Norm (Joe David Moore), and the creator of the program Grace (Sigournery Weaver) go into the jungle. While there Jake gets chased by a weird dog like creature and gets lost. Later he is rescued by one of the Na'vi. There they will teach him their ways if he is to fit in.
So the rest is him learning their language etc. And there is language. Well, of course. Every PG-13 movie has language. Later, the humans bulldoze some of the trees which starts a fuss. The military was tired of waiting. But Jake says he is about to gain their trust by becoming one of them. But they realize he attacked one of the bulldozers that was attacking the forest. He is taken captive.
Jake says he can convince them to leave, so the leader of the opperation gives him one hour.
Jake tells the Na'vi that he knew this was going to happen. But they react by tying him and Grace up to be killed. Just then the military destroyed the tree. They all are captured. But later he and the other scientists and their pilot (Michelle Rodriguez) escape to the forest.

He returns for help with dying Grace. But it didn't work. So he gathers other Na'vi clans to help in the fight. It all leads to a hudge fight. The Pandora wildlife assists the Na'vi in their wins. Many die from both sides. But in the end the Na'vi win. So the humans leave and Jake finally becomes a permanent Na'vi.

In my opinion, it was the best movie of 2009. The C.G animation was great. Along with the plot. What was really awsome was how James Cameron created a new language for the movie. It reminds me of Lord of the Rings. That was more a review of the movie then my review.
I give it a 10 out 10.
